We switching to clumping clay litter when we got our new self cleaning litter box because the pine pellets we were using was too large for the litter box to filter out. The clay worked fine, but it is not biodegradable and it also created a big mess at the entrance of the box.
I decided to give this tofu litter a shot and I’m so glad I did. We’ve been using it for over a week and no issues with clogging the self cleaning box so far. We change the bag once per week and there is never any smell around the box (unless he’s just finished using it, of course). But the biggest advantage I’ve found, other than it being biodegradable, is that there is really no mess. Maybe one or two grains per day in front of the box, which is awesome. Overall, I’m very happy with this litter and it will definitely be our regular litter from now on. Highly recommend.
24cats litter has quickly become our top choice! It holds up well, reducing the crumbles underfoot. Plus, it effectively keeps odors under control, making our home more pleasant.
I would recommend it for anyone looking to enhance their cat's litter experience!
I’ve been using the green tea litter since January 2025, and I like it so much better than clay litter. I had been ordering it through walmart until now. It has barely any dust the box says something like 99% dust free), and I only see it at the bottom of the litter box when I change it over, never when pouring it, like happens with clay litter. My cat adjusted to it with no issues. It seems to not smell as bad when she urinates… I rarely smell it with this litter. When she poops, I only smell it briefly until she covers it. I highly recommend this litter. It also lasts a long time, my first box being delivered January 10th, and the other in April. Scooping it regularly, those two boxes (6 bags), 20 lb each, have lasted a long time. I just opened the fifth bag today (July 10th), and still have one left. One box costs me $45.99, sure that’s expensive when looking at it initially, having spent $91.98 plus tax, but it’s been six months on FOUR bags. That’s 1.5 months per bag. That’s $15.33 (+taxes) a month, and it’s a lot safer for cats than clay litter, which gives off massive dust when pouring. That dust isn’t good for their lungs. Also gets licked off their paws, so they’re ingesting clay when they do that. This tofu litter? Nope. It’s so much healthier than clay litter. Sure I can get clay litter for less ($11.99/25 lb box, 1 box per 1.5 months)), but my cats’ health is worth that few extra dollars! I’m recommending this litter to everyone I know who has a cat. The litterbox in the picture has one full bag in it. With regular scooping, it lasts a long time. I 100% recommend it!
This litter is worth the price which is significant.
The litter clumps well and is easy to scoop.
It controls odour very well for quite some time.
The bag isn't the best for storing the litter, but you'll probably use a whole bag for your litter tray anyhow.
This was my first time using tofu cat litter and I’m pleasantly surprised. The clumping is effective and my kitten likes it. The vanilla scent is light but pleasant and lasts long. 19.8lbs lasts long time, so it’s a good value. Highly recommend!
